Friends[]

Senku Ishigami[]

Suika considers Senku to be a good friend and also looks up to him as a mentor figure.

She was one of the first Ishigami villagers, besides Kohaku to interact with him and treated Senku kindly.

Being historically ostracized by the villagers due to her clumsiness and odd appearance, she feels herself validated by Senku upon meeting him, as he values any contribution to his cause she can provide, and also comforts her about her poor vision, prior to fixing it with eyeglasses.

She is often amazed by his inventions, especially since she was provided with eyeglasses for her near sightedness, and takes part in the projects of the kingdom in any way she can. In return, Senku considers Suika to be the perfect agent for recon, sending her out on lookout or stealth missions.

When Senku was shot in South America, he placed all his trust in Suika and instructed her to revive everyone after the world is petrified. Suika was shocked by his request but promised to uphold it.[1]

Using her teachings from Senku, Suika was able to carry out the mission, by overcoming the perils of Brazil and frequent mishaps with the formula. When she finally succeeded in creating the formula, Senku was the first person she revived. Suika tearfully embraced him after he complimented her work.[2]

She remains impressed by Senku's abilities, as he quickly recreated the revival formula after she spent years trying to achieve the same. Despite this, her scientific skills and knowledge have greatly increased after years of experimentation. She now spends much time close to Senku working on new developments and learning along the way, hoping to earn the title of Dr. Suika.

Kohaku[]

Kohaku is one of Suika's best friends and the person she is most emotionally attached to. Kohaku is amused by her antics and treats her like a little sister, caring deeply for her well being, and being heavily distressed and protective whenever she's endangered, such as when Mantle lied about her being drowning, or when she found herself in the path of poison gas and was rescued.

In return, Suika is also very caring about Kohaku. Though her initial status of being a child may have prevented her from being protective, she is shown aggravated while under the impression that Kohaku was disqualified from the village grand bout because of her. Suika relied on her for emotional support growing up, and is shown giving hugs and spending time with her statue during the years she was petrified.

It is implied that Suika and Kohaku were such good friends prior to the early days of the kingdom of science, with Kohaku treating her affectionately and giving her headpats when she's introduced, while they collected iron sand by the riverside.

Besides just their friendliness, Kohaku finds Suika to be a valuable and capable ally and was also impressed by Suika and Ginro retrieving the mobile lab after the Perseus was taken by the soldiers of the petrification kingdom. [3]

After the second petrification event, Kohaku was the second person Suika revived after Senku. Kohaku was amazed to see Suika now as old as she is. Suika noted she couldn't ask for a hug but Kohaku proved her wrong by tearfully embracing her, proud Suika accomplished the mission.[4]

Chrome[]

Suika views Chrome as a good friend as he was one of the few people who didn't judge her based on her appearance.

It is unclear if Suika and Chrome were such good friends prior to the early days of the kingdom of science; while Chrome certainly didn't seem to actively try to drive her away, he did once treat her in a slightly harsh or rude manner when she was introduced; complaining that she had taken his magnet and snatching it back from her hands only to realize she was helping in the collection of iron sand. If it wasn't the case before, they quickly become good friends over the various projects and challenges met by the kingdom.

Chrome has a great trust in Suika and the two have a very good working relationship, with them often seen working in the field of science and crafting, such as when Suika assists him in finding the calcite crystal for the crafting of a sunstone on the Perseus, and when she was able to find the tungsten ore amongst Chrome's rock collection.

After the second worldwide petrification and Suika being closer to his age, Chrome has begun to consider her a rival in the field of science, as Suika proclaims to him that she will work hard to become Dr. Suika.[5] She has developed a similar or perhaps greater understanding of science to that of Chrome's during her years alone, and afterwards she has spent a lot of time working on new developments with Senku and Xeno, a role that Chrome used to play prior.

Mirai Shishio[]

Mirai is one of Suika's new friends.

After the Stone Wars, Mirai and Suika became close friends because they were around the same age. The two were seen selling cotton candy and ramen, getting along well.[6]

Ryusui Nanami[]

Ryusui viewed Suika as a kid at first, despite how much she has done for the Kingdom of Science. Nevertheless, he still cares enough about her to berate her for stowing away on their mission, as he would never endanger the life of a child. This is further seen when he kicked her off the ship to avoid letting her be petrified.[7] Suika was grateful to him for the rescue and wanted to repay him. To that end she helped and reassembling his statue which have been destroyed by the enemy. After he was revived a second time, he congratulates her on succeeding in her mission and declares her a true warrior of the Kingdom of Science. [8]

Since then, he doesn't look at her in the same light and trusts her enough when it comes to dangerous missions and even invites her to join the crew on the round the world exploration.

Francois[]

Suika has a good working relationship with Francois as they work together to find the oil with Sagara. Francios also seems impressed by Suika's abilities and works alongside her in various mission such as when Suika is chosen to revive everyone in South America.

As with everyone, Francois respects Suika enough to call her Master Suika.

Others[]

Chalk[]

Chalk is Suika's dog.

Chalk and Suika are often seen playing with the other or partaking in stealth missions.

It is not clear how Chalk and Suika met, nor where Chalk came from, as no other dogs have been shown in the village or in the wild.

After the second worldwide petrification, she is reunited with Chalk and they share a hug after being separated for more than a decade. She is proud that he and Sagara created a Stone wall to prevent the statues from being destroyed by environmental hazards. Suika noticed they have families now and realizes how they have moved on, deciding to do the same before they separate. However, this was short-lived after he and his pack come back to dine on the cooking that François has made, with the kingdom of science noting on how the breakup did not last. [9]

Sagara[]

Sagara is her new pet.

Suika grew fond of Sagara but was dismayed that he would have to be cooked. However, she was relieved when Francois and Senku refused to cook him, allowing Suika to keep him as her new pet. Joining Suika and Chalk, the three are very good friends. [10]

After the second worldwide petrification, Suika and Sagara are reunited with the two sharing a hug after being separated for more than a decade. It turns out that the pair created a Stone wall to prevent the statues from being destroyed by environmental hazards. Suika is pleased they protected everyone before noticing they have families now and realizes how they have moved on and decides to do the same before they separate. However, this was short-lived after he and his pack come back to dine on the cooking that François has made, with the kingdom of science noting on how the breakup did not last. [9]
