Matsukaze is a warrior from the Petrification Kingdom. Born a few centuries prior to the present, he was petrified in an event in which countless Petrification Weapons fell from the sky. He was revived by the Kingdom of Science.
Appearance
Matsukaze is a tall, young man with a relatively thin, but well-muscled build. His face is handsome and stern, and his black hair, which he keeps in a ponytail, extends to below his shoulders. He has a large crescent moon-shaped scar or tattoo on his forehead, and a marking shaped vaguely like the Petrification Weapon on his left arm (at least while he was petrified).
Personality
Matsukaze is an honorable, dutiful man. He is quick to thank Senku for reviving him, but immediately comes to the defense of Ginro (whom he believes is his lord) when he appears to be in distress, and apologizes for his inability to protect him due to petrification.
Abilities and Skills
Physical Abilities
Matsukaze wields considerable strength and speed. Upon seeing Ginro being attacked, he proceeded to blitz into the middle of the confrontation, deflecting attacks from both Kohaku and Kirisame (who are among the most dangerous fighters in their groups) simultaneously and remove Ginro from the area.
He could tell from a glance that Tsukasa Shishio was a skilled warrior. He is quickly defeated by Tsukasa in a sparring match but his skill was acknowledged and Tsukasa wondered how strong he’d get in the future.
History
At some point after his petrification, he was tossed into the sea.
Synopsis
Treasure Island Arc
He is collected by Taiju by accident while collecting the petrified bodies of their allies. He is depetrified after Soyuz recognized the symbol on his arm resembled the Medusa device. He becomes a subordinate of Ginro, due to his resemblance to his former lord.
After returning to the kingdom of science, he witnesses the revival of Tsukasa Shishio and could tell he was skilled. Curious about the latter's skill, he challenges Tsukasa to a sparring match. Matsukaze is easily bested by his opponent and in awe at the feat, he surrenders.
