Not much is known of him, though he was said to have been a kind ruler. He married at some point, having a son.
At one point, he told Kirisame of the usage of the Medusa.
Sometime later, Ibara managed to steal the Medusa and use it to petrify him. Whether this came from a personal vendetta or simply to take control of the island is unknown, the act was witnessed by an infant Soyuz. Despite Ibara's attempts to kill the child, Soyuz was safely sent away to the mainland of Japan. With the Head petrified, Ibara took command of the island.
The Head's true state is discovered by Ginro.
Because he cannot be revived, Soyuz apologized to his father while the Petrification Kingdom welcome Soyuz after learning his heritage. Now that Ibara was gone, Soyuz succeeded his father and decided to revive the remaining statues on the island.
- Due to the erosion damage he took over the years, part of his face is missing. Thus, he cannot be revived.
- His real name is unknown, as he is referred to as Head.
