The Perseus lands in the Americas. They first head to Northern California in search of yellow dent corn, but discover a lot more than that.
Plot Details[]
The Kingdom of Science crew celebrates their arrival in America. Ginro, Yo, and Magma eagerly anticipate fresh meat, and Tsukasa acknowledges the fighters' need for protein. Taiju excitedly views the trip as his first "vacation," while Minami and Senku take it in stride. Their excitement is dampened when Homura spots petrified people lodged in cliffs, and Gen reflects on his past lie about America recovering from petrification. Kohaku notices more statues in the water, which Senku deduces were trapped in a massive car pileup on the now-collapsed Golden Gate Bridge.
The group splits into teams, with the warriors guarding the exploration crew. While navigating a river, they are ambushed by alligators, but the warriors eagerly fight back, driven by hunger. Victorious, they use the alligator meat for supplies, and Francois prepares "Gator Burgers." During the meal, Tsukasa finds an alligator that had swallowed corn, leading Senku to realize a cornfield must be nearby.
As they set up camp, Tsukasa and Matsukaze sense danger. Tsukasa smells gunfire—Hyoga quickly deduces they’ve walked into a trap. A sudden machine gun attack forces the crew to retreat to their boats. The shooter, watching their escape, is revealed to be a revived human with petrification scars.
Once safe, Gen and Yo speculate if America had survivors, but Ryusui points out the lingering statues. Ukyo proposes that someone revived naturally, like Senku. The group concludes that the mysterious person cultivated the corn. Senku acknowledges their effort but declares that if their enemy is a scientist, they stand no chance against him.
