Summary[]
A moment after Hyoga stabs Tsukasa, Senku tries to stop him falling off the cliff, but Hyoga smacks them both over the edge anyways before jumping down himself. Everyone calls out after them, and tries to follow the river down.
On some bank down the river, the trio catches their breath. Hyoga points out that he pierced a lung and that Tsukasa won't survive much longer. It turns out that Hyoga wanted to speak to Senku, to try persuading him to his way of life. He explains that Hyoga and Tsukasa had agreed that the world couldn't hold all 7 billion people, and that the Petrification was a form of culling for the human race. Senku points out that if the world can't handle 7 billion people, than those people should find a way to make it work using science.
Hyoga is disappointed Senku doesn't agree with him, but tries to force him to his side anyways through torture, slicing Senku's pinkie. Scared, Senku backs off, but is bolstered by Tsukasa showing support. Senku begins throwing stoned birds at Hyoga as a distraction, which again disappoints him as he'd thought him better. The stoned birds depetrify, shocking Hyoga and giving Tsukasa an opening to punch him.
Tsukasa and Senku then team up against Hyoga properly.
