Sweets for the Stone World (
Homura observes the village as they begin a new project. Chrome and Kaseki want to have the cellphone explained to them, which Senku does in simple terms. They ask what the first task will be, and the response is "making cotton candy". They quickly cast an iron contraption for making cotton candy, and collect the sugar created when Homura set the village on fire, boiling the alcohol down.
With Kinro and Ginro pulling ropes to make the device spin, Senku melts down sugar and collects the threads on a stick, making cotton candy. The sweetness is incredible to the villagers, and sends them all into ecstasy. Senku asks Gen about Homura, specifically about her personality. Ginro misinterprets this as Senku being interested in a girl, but he only wants to know because she's currently keeping an eye on them.
Despite Gen saying that winning her over is hopeless, Senku sets up a small sheltered stand with some cotton candy and a note, saying that if she's worried about getting poisoned she can feed it to an animal first. Senku's true plan is to get Homura to tell the ones in the Tsukasa Empire that they have sweets, hoping they'll defect. Despite her saying otherwise, Homura eats the cotton candy.
