Final Chapter: Dr. STONE (
Summary[]
The astronauts safely return to Earth, making a water landing and getting picked up by the Perseus. A massive celebration happens at the edge of the old Tsukasa Empire where Tokyo once stood. Senku, Stanley, Ryusui and Kohaku are awarded medals for their bravery, and for defeating Why-man. The Kingdom of Science reunites.
Several years later, Gen is acting as a diplomat between the kingdoms in America and Japan. Francois meets him as he arrives by plane in Japan, and chauffeurs him to their next destination: Taiju and Yuzuriha's wedding! When he gets there, spirits are high and the celebration is grand, and he's informed that it's actually day 2 of the wedding, as not everyone could make the first day. The romantic mood reminds Kohaku to ask Ruri about her plans with Chrome, but Ruri tells her that he'd already proposed, to an extent. He told her he'd like to marry her after they finish their "baaad science project".
Tsukasa and Hyoga prepare for their inevitable trials, since humanity and civilization has been restored. Ukyo hints that it may not be the end for them just yet despite their killings, depending on the results of the science team's current project.
Taiju decides to bring cake to the science team, and believes he located Senku, only for the person to turn around and reveal themselves as a woman who looks a lot like him. Gen then receives a scientific explanation from several of the scientists who tell him how the petrification devices could float. They then continue deeper into the labs, where they find Senku working on a device similar to the one he was working on minutes before the Petrification began 3,700 years ago.
The cake is shared between the science team members while Senku explains the project. With the help of their new friend, they plan to make a time machine to avoid the unnecessary deaths of many of the petrification devices. If it works, the Kingdom of Science could truly save all 7 billion people. However, the plan isn't set in stone yet, as Xeno proposes only sending information back, allowing something like an A.I. savior to exist. A new roadmap is drawn up for this futuristic scientific endeavor.
As always, Senku says "get excited!"

Chapter Notes[]
- The astronauts return to Earth safely.
- Gen becomes a diplomat between America and Japan.
- Taiju and Yuzuriha get married.
- Everyone is invited, including Yuzuriha's parents (revived in the timeskip).
- Tsukasa and Hyoga consider their future sentences due to their actions in the Stone World.
- Chrome proposes to Ruri with the intent of marrying her after they finish their impossible science project.
- Senku decides the Kingdom's next goal is to try building a time machine with Why-man's assistance in order to properly save all 7 billion people (and probably several million petrification devices).
Trivia[]
- Chalk and Sagara may not be in this chapter because their species' lifespans could not allow it.
- Pages 15 to 17, where Taiju has something to tell Senku, are a homage to Chapter 1 before the petrification occurred.
- Senku is also shown working on the exact same device that he was during his introduction in Chapter 1.
- The capsule's tiny villager rope was made by Suika.[1]
- Unlike the rest of the chapters, this one does not begin with "Z=232", instead the numeration is replaced with "Final Chapter".
- Despite most of the main cast now being in their late 20s and going on 30, they don't look any different than they did a decade ago.
- Possibly an after-effect of the Petrification. Though not likely conclusive as Suika still aged from a child into a teenager after being petrified twice.
