Giant Step (
Summary[]
With Ryusui safely onboard the rocket, the team replace the damaged circuit board with the new on Ryusui brought. It is revealed that Ryusui had been training for space the whole time, and hopped in for the ride despite the risk his extra weight and resource usage posed.
The team petrify themselves once more for the three day journey to the moon. When they arrive, Kohaku is depetrified last, and she marvels at the moon. The navigators onboard then use sextants to navigate around the back of the moon, as radio signals from Earth get blocked by it. Kohaku observes that the back of it is bumpier than the front, which Senku explains is due to all the meteors it caught: the earth's protector.
A discussion is had about who will land on the moon itself, and Ryusui insists he stays in the command module while the other three step foot on the moon, particularly Senku who is representing the scientists of the earth.
The landing module is launched and touches down safely. On Earth, everyone discusses what Senku's first lines should be, and Senku points out that he hadn't really thought about it. Instead, when his foot touches the ground, he proudly proclaims "get excited!"
