Summary[]
With both the rocket and the astronauts' training complete, the intended rocket launch date is on the 14th. The final preparations for the launch occur, and everyone bids farewell to the astronauts, now on their final walk to the rocket, donning space suits.
Kohaku says goodbye to her sister Ruri and Suika, and asks her not to be reckless. Chrome teases Senku, telling him he better not have cold feet. In a romantic moment tainted slightly by Xeno's usual dramatics, Xeno gives his best friend Stanley a custom packet of chewable cigarette-shaped tobacco. Tsukasa and Ryusui also wish their replacements good luck on the moon.
The worrying begins to reach some members such as Luna, who fears for Senku's life. He (sort of) reassures her that the historical death rate for humans in space is 5%. Suika and Gen think about what might happen if the rocket explodes like the previous ones, but they insist that they'll just recollect all the tiny pieces to revive them.
Kaseki and Joel finally meet and team up to replace the Petrification Weapon's battery for the journey. With Senku and the others in place, the device is activated and the trio are petrified. The rocket launch countdown begins while Senku counts down from beneath the stone.
