Three Heroes (
Summary[]
The astronaut selection process for the moon mission begins. As the space expert, Xeno is chosen as the overseer and main selector. Everyone is told that for the majority of the flight, the astronauts will be petrified so they can simplify the life support systems. Due to the unknown nature of Why-man, new astronauts rather than ones from before the first Petrification will be chosen. The roles to be filled are a warrior, a scientist, and a pilot.
As the only pilot, Ryusui is chosen for that role. The scientist, as Xeno must stay as ground control, is Senku, however he needs physical training. They begin by doing the same clothed swimming test that Byakuya had struggled with in the past. As Senku struggles, Nikki helps train him up.
Meanwhile, the other members of the Kingdom of Science stationed around the globe return to their homes, and thus the warriors left in Corn City come back for the selection trials.
After the physical tests, a test of concentration is given to the candidates. Equilibrium trials and other physical trials continue as they whittle down the candidates. Tsukasa is easily the best of the bunch, but Kohaku fares quite well as well.
That evening, Tsukasa calls Kohaku to meet him on a cliff. They begin fighting abruptly, with Kohaku in disbelief that Tsukasa would betray them at this point. He says he's not, simply that he wished to test her skills. He tells her that their skill gap isn't as great as she thinks, thanks to science.
The final roster for the moon mission is Ryusui as the pilot, Senku as the scientist, and Kohaku as the warrior.
