Our Dr. Stone (
Summary[]
The chapter begins with Kohaku on the verge of death, without fear and full of hope and trust that Stanley and his men will be defeated by the Kingdom of Science.
Back at Fort Medusa, Taiju is shown testing the speaker system for the Petrification Weapon activation plan, however the team still don't have a functioning petrification device. Kaseki is still struggling to grind down the diamonds along the correct cleavage planes, each of them splitting before they can be inserted into the device. Frustrated, Chrome yells into the sky, asking Tsukasa and the others to do whatever it takes to delay Stanley.
In the jungle, Stanley's group is deciding what to do. The transceiver is destroyed, so Maya assumes they'll have to hang back and wait for it to be fixed. Instead, Stanley tells them they're continuing, attacking hard and fast since the Kingdom has already expended its three best trumps cards.
Senku makes the tough decision to send Luna away as the new reviver, since Francois and Suika have been captured. Luna nervously agrees, and Chelsea leaves with her as her guide. Max complains that Carlos just let her go, but Carlos's expression is dark.
A short distance away from the fort, tears begin streaming down Chelsea's face. Luna is concerned and asks if she's okay, and Chelsea tells her that "everyone already knows the device won't get finished in time" and that they were only sent away so they could survive. Senku lied to save them. This sets Luna off screaming, trying to run back to the fort, but Chelsea holds her back. Meanwhile, Ukyo is observing Stanley's group, realising that Tsukasa, Hyoga and Kohaku must already be dead.
Moments later, gunfire and bombs ravage the fort. Taiju leaps into action, yelling that he's got to hold them back to buy time. Gen tells him they'll never manage to complete the device amongst the explosions. Around the fort, Stanley tells his men to not feel sorry for the Kingdom of Science since they're holed up with a hostage. He commands them to shoot to kill, show no mercy. Charlotte hesitates a moment before acknowledging the command.
A bomb hits Taiju, throwing him and Gen backwards. Taiju's body lays charred next to Gen, who, shaking, asks him to "wake up, you can't prank a prankster." Taiju does not get up.
Ryusui, gun in hand and keeping a close eye on a tied-up Xeno, hides behind one of the small buildings. Xeno begins monologuing, saying that it's science kingdom versus science kingdom, and that Stanley obviously can't be stopped at this point. He recommends they surrender before more of them get killed. Ryusui laughs him off, telling him it's not over yet and that every second they hang on is another step forward. It doesn't matter who they lose, because they'll win and be able to revive everyone thanks to "dr. Stone". Xeno has tears in his eyes.
A moment later, Ryusui gets shot in the chest and the lab Kaseki was working in explodes, scattering the diamonds.
